These giant fibreglass poppies have brightened galleries and public spaces as far afield as London, Rome, Shenzhen, Prague, Venice, Beijing, Singapore, Monte Carlo, New York and Santa Fe. The artist believes that art and beauty will open conversations between nations to foster mutual appreciation and hope. As these installations move around the world, she hopes that viewers will use the associated app to upload photos and share messages.
There are two of these “Love & Peace” flowers currently on display in London. The one seen here is at Canary Wharf, and the other is outside Tate Britain.
